Spotted Owl
Oliver, a spotted owl with an inquisitive nature, earned his title as the zoo’s first "Night Guide." Known for his calm demeanor around humans, he became an integral part of the zoo's evening tours. During nocturnal exhibits, Oliver would perch on the guide’s shoulder, seemingly listening attentively as stories about his species were shared. Occasionally, he would "contribute" with a soft hoot, delighting visitors. His involvement made the tours more interactive, and he quickly became a favorite among children and adults alike. The zoo even created a plush toy version of Oliver, with proceeds supporting owl conservation programs.
